Max Imann
Max Imann is a solo electronic music project built on tech house, minimal deep house, French filter house and leftfield lo-fi scarred electronics.
Every release blends crisp rhythms, filtered grooves and lo-fi textures, crafted for both the dancefloor and deep, late-night listening.
Latest release
Always Happy is a melodic, slightly melancholic house single about the stubborn persistence of childhood dreams.
Warm synths, looping phrases and an understated groove keep circling the feeling without fully explaining it - hopeful, a little awkward, and quietly underground.

What music we are cooking
My Story
I’ve been making electronic music since the early 2000s, taking familiar forms and quietly shifting them until they feel slightly off-centre. I work across tech house, minimal deep house, French filter house, leftfield house, trap and lo-fi electronics, but I treat genre as material rather than a fixed identity. I cut recorded and generated vocals down and bury them in the mix, exaggerate the groove and low end, and let structures stretch beyond the point where they are expected to resolve. I’m interested in the small changes that alter how a listener feels inside the sound, rather than in obvious drops or easy payoffs.
My background in computer music programming, audio systems engineering, commercial radio production and underground nights has shaped both my discipline and my impatience. I’m drawn to dark humour, unease, provocation and morally ambiguous atmospheres, but I’m not interested in DJing, clubbing, live performance, festivals or simply attacking mainstream dance music. Through Filtre Noir, my independent imprint, I make records for people who stand slightly apart from the spectacle and listen for texture, detail and something less easily explained. I want the music to feel personal to anyone who recognises that position.
